Voluntary Love
Heartbreak isn’t just a fleeting sadness; it’s a quiet, persistent weight that makes ordinary moments feel hollow. I keep replaying our laughter, our late‑night talks, and the way your eyes lit up when you spoke about your dreams. Those memories now echo like distant music, beautiful but out of reach. When you left, it felt as though a part of me went with you, leaving an empty space that no amount of distraction can fill. I find myself reaching for you in crowded rooms, only to realize you’re no longer there, and the silence that follows is louder than any words could be. I’ve tried to understand why this happened, but the reasons seem tangled and unclear, leaving me with more questions than answers. I’m not writing to place blame or to ask you to return; I’m writing to honor what we shared and to acknowledge the pain of its loss. It’s okay to feel broken, and it’s okay to grieve the future we imagined together. I hope that, in time, this hurt will soften and become a reminder of how deeply I could love, rather than a source of endless sorrow. Thank you for the memories we had, until our final goodbye!
