Void of your absence
Void of your absence-ShantSagar Your shadow lingers, a phantom's trace, Love's whispers where silence reigns. Are you a storm, still dispersing clouds, Or a star, cloaked by veils of night? I stretched my skin across the earth, Hoping to feel the weight of you. But the ground is barren, brittle, cold, Your warmth, evades my grasp. What syllables hold your laughter now? In whose arms does your breath repose? I reach for answers as flesh seeks blood, Yet, my hands meet only the slippery void. Do you hear my pulse, relentless, loud, Calling your name in its wanting hymn? Or do you drift in tranquil forgetfulness, Cast adrift on waters I cannot swim? The world tilts in your cruel absence, Love and tragedy, waltzing as one. I stand at the cusp of some great expanse, Where are you, Where have you gone?
