Void
I'm in my thoughts, but they're empty. The pills on my table; they love to tempt me. I'm in my head, but it's nothin..g. I'm cruising through life looking for something. For just a reason, for just a little spark. I just need a light I'm tired of living in the dark. It's exhausting, I keep hearing the same thing. "Well you just gotta keep on" Is that not what I'm doing? It's like I fell- no I rolled down. Slowly. And I guess I didn't notice until I started missing the old me. Full of life, smiling all the time, But now I'm dull and I'm running out of time. Until I sink, sink into this void I hold That emerged from when I was young, and now I'm all weak and old. It's too big, and it's consuming the rest of me. This void I hold, has now become a part of me.
