visit inside of slumber
Here's a poem: about a dream I got last night I gave it all, my heart, my soul, Tired, worn, ready to let go. But you came to me in slumber's night, A whispered promise, a fleeting light. You say I wish you'd tried harder still, But I did my best, my heart's deepest will. Can't you see the tears I've cried, The sacrifices I've made, the love I've tried? In dreams, you visit, a ghostly sigh, A longing glance, a whispered goodbye. I gave it all, my everything, But was it enough? Only you can sing. Perhaps in waking life, we'll find a way, To mend the tears, to heal the gray. Until then, know this, my heart beats true, I gave it all, for me, for you. Author:Yūrei_tamashii
