Vice
It's necessity again, the reigns are loose as the cavalcade lurks. The ringing in our ears. The stinging in our hearts. The morning cradles emptiness like it's last born, smirking at the impatience on our face. Where did I lose? How can I begin again? Shouting, "Long Live the New", as death reels us in. We were not born broken, wear and tear has had it's way. We kept our hearts open and disregarded the decay. It's necessity again, to find the reigns in the heat of late july. But if this truly is the end and I should die astray, please don't tell the family why. Tell em I was sober, right before I overdosed. I was clean until the end. It wasn't til' it was over, when i knew my book was closed, to never be read again. Don't tell em I was a crashout who took too many pills, or that i did this by mistake. Tell em I just passed out from the weight of my good will and was poisoned by a snake. I've had it coming for a while and i should do more to stop it but death will greet me like a sleep. So I'll just bleed those last few miles, taking whatevers in my pocket, as i wade through crimson streams. I could gorge myself on smiles, get drunk on all the lies, flood the street for miles with tears ive cried.
