Valentine's Day - Truth
I hate valentine's day. Not because I'm lonely. Not because I have bad memories with it. But because of what it represents. It's basically the calander alarm clock. It reminds you to care about your partner - to show them you care. If you're a decent partner, you shouldn't need the reminder... It's the 'Get out of jail free card' in love. You should go out and buy flowers - on a random Tuesday. You should get them romantic gifts - more than once a year. You should be heartfelt and warm - everyday, not just February 14th. You should be attentive - not just because the holiday is coming up. The holiday is an excuse for inattentive partners to act like they give a shit, and manipulate you into believing so. Don't give into the holiday that reminds your partner you exist...
