Used to be
I used to be young and naive. Then I matured off pain not age. Because of this, certain things I don't believe. Like turning like to a new page. I used to be told shoot for the stars. You'll get there someday. And yet it blurs by faster than race cars. There were games I was told we shouldn't play. I used to be strong and brave. The trill of the chase, became the new thing. The thing I began to crave. It became as easy as breathing. I used to be someone to be proud of. That's before I found the scam of love. I look back on what used to be. Now I realize, I used to just be me.
