Upon Her Scabbed Wings
Crack my skull to be with you, I lick your taste; like morning dew. All forsaken is all that we know. She's locked in the bathroom again, making love to her needle and tourniquet. I spilled the colors out of the box ... red, yellow, and blue; every color reminds me of you ... The protagonist dies at the feet of the main character in this scene. She believes in everything but me. Inside that wax paper holds the key, she's taking a shower to wash the strangers perverse away. Tell me again why I want you to stay? You can clean your body, but the stain will forever remain. I ask for a kiss, and she turns her face away. Just like any other day, I'm just a pawn in this selfish game of life you play. She has a bunch of clothes inside a plastic tote. Her dreams are stuffed at the bottom; still, everyone else is the problem. I've decided not to cry. So, not a single tear will escape my eye. ... my heart will survive.
