when we broke apart, you promised we could still be friends. when you tore at my heart, you promised nothing was wrong. I'm told now that you lied, as I'm supposed to be well aware. but if you lied about that, what else did you lie about? am i pretty? am i funny? did i mean the world to you? now we see each other every day, just a million miles apart. you skip over me in a crowd, but before i would have run to you. you pretend im not here, that you can't see me. and laugh with her instead. you hang out alot lately, you and that gorgeous girl. did she replace me? did you update me to her? probably. after all, you lied. i am nothing. i am no one. and i cannot hold on without you. i am truly alone, saddened in a world of joy. i don't belong anymore. i fit with you, like a missing puzzle piece. but you cast me from the box once you had put together the picture. why wasn't i enough?
