Untold Schemes
Untold Schemes By: Marivil Boniza In the depths of foe where I reside, lost in a maze, ensnared in a haze I remain, for silence lingers, And in my head an emptiness I dread, Seeking solitude, yet fearing loneliness it brings, Affection I seek, yet afraid of Love, Longing happiness yet it inflicted wounds, and scars I cannot erase Longing to dance, but the steps elude me, wanting to sing, yet doubt holds the key, Finding solace is in my quest, Yet to find it, I cannot attest I read not to escape, nor for the knowledge's I gain, To shed tears for I was wrapped with bandage for the wounds and scars that has no cure, Birds captivated me, not only they have good sight, But I was beguiled by their wings for the freedom to vanish without a trace A sight I also wish to have, longing and seeking to break free with these chains for I am in a cage, hurt and abused engulf me, though the cause is unclear, Is it the way they raised voice or the hands I feared? Disdain for their accusatory tone, They reign normalcy, while I suffer alone, unheard and untold Conflicted between the desire to live and to die, Lost in a depth of the ocean, for all of the questions, unanswered, Without doubts I stayed
