He texted "Good morning" I hesitated for a moment Afraid to look desperate Feeding my pride Anuorishing my ego Thought for a while What's the best response? Not cliche Not too attractive but still positive " Good morning to you too" Seemed too perfect Then I took a pause It seems too empty Should I add some salt Will it add taste or make it bitter Or just make it little All thoughts lingered in my head Eating the time I had Thought this and that But nothing felt right Wasn't what it was Being mindful of my tone And what I say isn't what I expect Either way it happened All coz of a good morning text Then silence took over Was It too forward? Was it too general or what? If I had thought something better Maybe it wouldn't be opened later Then the thought came on That I've always been an option To my opinion Am just among the millions Craving for his companion Need to be in my place Before this heart starts to race Heartaches aren't funny to face But since he is the one who created the mess I'll run at his paceπ
