She walks in Flings her bag across the room She stops Sensing trouble looms Little by little Losing all sense of rationality She finds what she's lost A sudden wave of peace floods her She uncorks the bottle Then, a pungent smell fills the air Bottle after bottle Shot after shot She keeps downing And shows no sign of getting drunk She keeps searching Desperate for more A shadow passes And she drops to the floor Scurrying into the corner Her eyes bloodshot Hiding from the world She seems lost Head buried Hands in her hair With footsteps approaching And she's in despair She closes her eyes Waiting for the end to come Finally, they found her But, she's gone ~She is
