The flex of sinew ripples under your skin Alluringly as you pull yourself upwards. You adjust your grip and pull again, Gliding up further, a tattoo hammering my ribs. Slender yet strong, your arms and shoulders sing Of power concealed by a delicate frame. I watch, enraptured, like Tantalus, so near Yet so far from the ripe fruit before me. As you reach your peak and level out I feel a release on my thoughts, A trance broken as you slow your breathing. Seeking to hide your exertion. You want me to know that you're strong, To see how capable and empowered you are. But, in all this time, have you not yet realized That strength is what's held me enthralled?
