There was a young man with bright, hopeful eyes. His faith was strong, his heart was pure, He prayed to Allah, his soul was secure. But he met a friend who spoke with charm, Who promised him joy and did no alarm. The friend laughed at faith and called it old, Tempting the young man with tales of gold. At first, he resisted, holding tight to his creed, But slowly, he followed, giving in to his need. His prayers grew weak, his Qur'an left unread, He chose empty pleasures over what Allah said. The light in his eyes began to fade, As he followed his friend down a shadowed glade. Good deeds forgotten, he chased fleeting fun, Ignoring the warnings of the Most Gracious One. "On Judgment Day, the young man wept in despair," "Wishing he'd listened, wishing he'd cared." "Oh, woe to me, for I chose the wrong way," Leaving Allah’s path, I was led far away. May we learn from his sorrow, his cries of regret, And choose friends who help us, lest we forget.
