In this lifetime, There was a personality Who walked through the halls of shame, And travelled down the paths of her past. Her hair was scruffy, Looking obviously dethroned. Her face was covered, Her head banging badly in pain. Her hands were chained, And the queen was being treated like a slave. Her body and beauty, All curvy and pretty, Was drowned in blood and pity Shamelessly crying for mercy. Oh, how mightily she had fallen! Her mind, blinded Thoughts, scrambled Destiny, coveted Her body, unsheathed Her soul, unsolicited Her feet were gone, Leaving all stones unturned. And no one to walk in those footsteps She seemed sad but had that stoic smile The price to pay for her mistakes Her back was against the wall Probably not noticing my gaze She looked so lost, trying to get away But her eyes were useless I was looking for a way home Then, I felt a wet hand on my shoulder Knowing 'what it' was, I turned Then I saw a face, what a shock 'It' was..........
