until we meet again
The Light still dances, soft and true, Flickering, just out of view. I reach for it, though it's not mine to keep, A distant warmth, both shallow and deep. Sometimes it shines close, filling the space, Other times, it fades without a trace. Light knows now the way I feel, Hopes that something real might someday heal, Beneath its glow where silence grows, In the spaces only Light and I know. But now, I step back and let it be, Respecting the distance, though it aches in me. Maybe someday Light won’t have to run, And I won’t be chasing, but walking as one. Until that day, I’ll hold my own flame bright, Waiting, trusting, in the strength of Light. And if our paths should cross once more, I’ll be ready, like never before.
