He was sunshine, and I was midnight rain. He wanted comfort, I wanted pain. Maybe that’s where we were different, maybe that’s where I began to fall. Only if you knew how much I liked you, how my heart beats faster whenever you smile. But how could I hate her? She’s such an angel when she walks by, brighter than the blue sky. She’s perfect, she’s kind, probably gives you butterflies. And I? I’m just the quiet storm watching from afar, wishing I could be her. She’s peace, I’m chaos. She’s the melody, I’m the pause. Every time I look at you, I feel enchanted, like the stars themselves learned your name. Even if it’s impossible, I keep hoping you’ll look at me too. I hide what’s true, but still, I whisper to the wind: “I like you…”
