unshaken chains
The rules were written, carved in stone, But their weight is cold, and we're alone. In halls where whispers hold no might, The powerful bend the truth in light. They wear the mask of justice’s face, Yet tighten shackles in their race. For power feeds on fear, on pain, A thirst unquenched, control to gain. The cries of those who dare defy, Are silenced under darkened sky. But in the hearts of those they bind, A spark of fire they cannot find. We march through mazes built by greed, Where justice bows, and truth must bleed. Yet in the shadows, voices rise, Their quiet rage, the final prize. For chains may rattle, stones may break, But hearts united, power we take. The towers built on unjust ground, Will one day crumble without sound.
