Unshaken
I stand apart, a soul of stone, Not easily swayed, emotions unknown. No tears fall for others' plight, I'm rare, a heart that guards its light. I don't crave validation or tears, No need for others to hold me dear. My own blood can't claim a special place, I'm self-contained, a solitary pace. No lists of favors, no score to keep, I'm not a people pleaser, my heart does leap. No acting roles, no pretenses made, I'm genuine, untouched, my emotions displayed. I won't cry for you, and I won't let you cry, My boundaries clear, my heart's not shy. I'm a fortress, strong and free, Unmoved by others' expectations, that's just me.
