Unseen struggles of everyday.
There's a whisper in the silence, a shiver in the air, A presence that lingers when nobody’s there. Footsteps fall behind me, soft as a breath— I feel its cold gaze, the promise of death.I turn, but nothing greets my stare— Just empty rooms and empty air. But I know it's there; I feel its weight, A creeping dread I can't escape. Its voice slithers softly through my mind, A hiss, a laugh, a scream combined. It sings to me in tones so low, Of places where the shadows go.I see things in the corner of my sight, Figures slipping through the fractured light. Faces in mirrors that aren’t my own, Eyes in the dark that gleam like bone. They say it’s all in my head, a trick of the mind, But I hear them moving through walls at night. I feel their hands, cold as ice, Pressing me down, holding me tight.I try to scream, but no one hears— Drowned by the whispers, drowned by the fears. The world says "Lie down, close your eyes, let it be," But how can I sleep when it’s waiting for me?Every creak, every flicker, every thump, every sigh— A reminder that something’s alive in the lie. I walk through the day like a ghost in a haze, Haunted and hunted, through hours and days.No one believes me, they laugh and they sneer I am gone.
