Unseen Heartbeat
In shadows cast by tough facade, A silent heart beats, tender, raw. Behind the mask of strength displayed, Lies love unspoken, yet conveyed. I dream of one who'd break the mold, Who'd see the truth my eyes withhold. To love beyond the faults and scars, And cherish me despite the bars. Yet words of love, they fall so light, Unheard in silent, lonely night. The chance to show the depth within, Eludes me time and time again. Rejection’s sting, it leaves its mark, A whispered ache within the dark. But still I strive, with heart laid bare, To prove to someone I do care. Though love may seem a distant shore, My hope remains, forever more. That one day, someone will perceive, the love I hold. Unseen heartbeat, tender and true.
