Unsafe I am (part 1)
1 How should I feel safe, when all my days attest that humans outdo monsters ever made, more cruel than myths, more vile than angels guessed, far worse than any fear my mind portrayed? If I can wear that skin, that ruthless face , and know I might become what they most dread, what meaning does the word safe even trace, when I myself am, what I must spare? so should I keep what they care? 2 How should I feel safe, when knowing fractures so, I know, yet do not know, and feel what's grim; finding that unknown meaning behind, not because I am bound to want it so, but because safety feels like something my instincts' dreamed. I sense the gaps, I nurture them with care, not truth but comfort is what I pursue; I choose the dark where answers thins to air, because not knowing feels like shelter, too. a home built for loose but not lost, a shelter free of any society's flame or frost.
