unregonisable woman
To you unregonisable woman. Though I think i know her, it's hard to remember. But I see the pain in the layers of her eyes. Her eyes take me into the dephts of her soul. A place far away from this moment. Her tears carrying me along flowing towards moments that at last deserve to be remembered. Not because they were beautiful, but because I know she survived them with regal strength. For her daring attempts and cries for help were never understood. A moment of silence. I search for the way back to here and now, but the currents of her tears pull me along to fragments of a heart that was once whole. Where blood once flowed with strength to keep her graceful form alive, there is now a crimson sea filled with broken shards. These blood-red drops, gathering into a sea, are beginning to take control of me. I want to escape and let her drown. Because she is not who I am. She is only the surviving fragment that conquered her shape. But how do I escape? I cannot stay this sea of blood will drown me. Yet the shards will wound my feet with every step I take. And still… I must survive. The path to what I believe freedom might be must be worth every step through shattered glass. I hear voices telling me to let her drown.
