Unnoticed goodbye
Sometimes letting go is the most powerful act of love. He stopped saying my name. Not loudly, not angrily, just quietly, like it didn’t matter anymore. At first, I didn’t notice. I laughed at the silences, told myself I was imagining things. But then the spaces grew. The smiles felt distant. The touch that once grounded me… vanished. I tried to fix it. I thought love meant holding on. But love isn’t possession. Love isn’t control. Love is freedom. So I let him go. And in that letting go, I found something I hadn’t felt in years: myself.
