I walk through a world behind these walls others that I pass seem so small I peer over the lofty heights of my defense The present just a haunting of things past tense I like every human only long for a feeling of love Yet every human has created their own imagined feeling not sent from above We are evil in our thoughts and in our doings I can't believe I am still out here in this mire steadily pursuing Chasing the thought I dreamed of as a child The fact that I remember that day so well to me now feels odd I mean do you remember that moment that you drew up your dream The writing on the wall and the thing unto which your heart would cling I would imagine yours would be slowly accumulated, the knowledge unto which you base your assumption now illuminated You lived long enough I am sure to realize exactly what it is not Because you like me have had everything ripped away feeling as if you have been shot Through the heart the wickedest of places The person we do not see hiding behind our mirrored faces We FEEL like we are good and yet good we did not do How in the hell can love be so far from us and we not have a clue
