Universe
The sun speaks to the moon all day, Whispering tales of stars so bright, Of celestial gems that light the way, Shining boldly in the night. The moon listens with a gentle sigh, Aware its glow is soft and dim, A muted lantern in the sky, A quiet light on a twilight whim. The sun, dazzled by the stars' bright fire, Might turn its gaze to their radiant dance, Leaving the moon in shadow's shire, Bereft of its luminous chance. Oh, if the sun should choose the stars, The moon would fade to a ghostly sliver, Lost in darkness, hidden afar, In the vast, cold cosmic river.
