Uninvited Life
In foreign streets, I wander alone, A life not mine, a heart turned to stone. I never chose this path, this fate, A future unfolding, devoid of my state. Tears fall like rain, a deluge of pain, As I grasp for memories that never were mine to claim. A longing to belong, to be seen, A soul adrift, lost in a world unseen. How can I plan for tomorrow's dawn? When yesterday's shadows still linger on? The ache within me, a chasm so wide, A heart that's breaking, with every step I take inside. I never wanted to be here, it's true, A life that's not mine, a heart that's broken in two. I'm searching for a way to be free, From this existence that's not mine to see.
