"Unheard, Unseen, Unbroken"
I carry the weight of two homes, yet belong to none, A daughter, a sister, but never someone. A heart split between duty and dream, Yet no one hears my silent scream. I gave up my path so he could walk, Swallowed my words when they cut me with talk. "Get married," they say, "Be less, not more," But I was never made to be kept behind doors. A love I reached for slipped like sand, A boy who held me but not my hand. I shined for him, I burned so bright, Yet he only saw me in the absence of light. I fight my demons, they call them "phases," Numb from the war, yet stuck in these mazes. But even in pain, I refuse to fall, I may be unheard, unseen— But I’m still standing tall.
