Unforgettable
Tears that have flown as free as simple spring rain drops, have turned into a raw and boisterous thunderstorm. My screams pierce the 3am sleeping world, as a pillow lies helpless next to my shaking body. Muffled screams are no more, they cannot be contained so easily... They come in bursts, as blinding rays of sun. I feel the low rumble in my chest, the thunder waiting to break. I hold what is left of my land together, bracing myself. Here it comes, I feel my core shake at memories, memories long forgotten, memories I now hold so close. Twirling my fingers in your hair as I fell asleep, as you read book after book, needing to then rip your hair to untangle from my sleeping form. Watching you, watching me while I dance my first recidle, standing to bring me a bouquet of roses, I was 4. The look on your face as you rounded the corner, when I was sure I'd enter my c-sectir I cry at these memories are not sad tears, they are unforgettable tears for unforgettable moments for an unforgettable Mother. 11/27/1965 - 02/10/2023
