Unfinished Courage
By Miss F There are words that die before they leave the mouth. I never said: “I’m proud of you.” “I forgive you.” “I needed you.” Friendship ended, and with it, everything I carried: “I saw you.” “I held you in silence.” “I loved the person behind the mistakes.” Every prayer whispered, every early morning, every sleepless night, every knock on doors that stayed closed all of it buried in the chest of the unspeaking. Dreams burned quietly, alive even when unseen, daring even when the world said: stop. To the mother, the sibling, the friend the unsaid lingers: I tried. I loved. I carried more than you knew. Death is quiet, because silence carries the loudest truth: the courage, the effort, the love that never touched another soul but shaped every heartbeat anyway. And if the dead could speak, they would not speak. They would leave a tremor in the air: Live. Love. Try. Rise. Because the world must hear what life sometimes cannot say. ©️MissF. Ke
