Unfinal Failure
Neither dark nor light, The path is blurred from sight. Yet the necessity of the fight Keeps at bay the urge for flight. My mind drifts in a daze— It has wandered so for days. No exit from this man-made maze; I pray that peace decides to stay. I am the master of my fate, The conductor of my thoughts. Yes, I welcome this weight, regardless of their praise or applause. A creature of habit—this is my creed, Let this stand as my solemn decree. For every fall, one rise remains, And in the end, the prize is claimed.
