UNEARTHED TRUTHS
Admitting to myself that I had not loved, The weight felt lighter than my past dread. And like poisonous vines, words grew rapidly in my head Excuses had never been enough. Such a soothing liberation Letting yourself lie down in utter relaxation. A still field in the dead of the night, Fireflies buzzing, glowing bright. Nothing is of great importance Until it is time to go home. Who is there to grant some reassurance To this frail heart without letting it roam?
