UNDER THE FLAG UNDER THE BLOOD
No one seems to care. No one seems to hear All the cries and bloodshed. How much more till they act? From mothers losing sons, To fathers losing daughters, Brothers losing sisters— And all is swept under the rug. Bodies in body bags like sacks. They are law-abiding citizens, they say, Yet they break every law in the book. Maintaining peace and order is what they should do. Why hold a gun and shoot point-blank without a care? All they did was be activists. "Please don't arrest me; I didn't commit any crime." When did fighting for our rights and justice become a crime? Is all the blood lost worth it? When it’s one of you, action is taken. What about the low-society citizen, The one you're supposed to protect and fight for? Justice is for all, not just for one. We choose white for peace, Green for our land, Black for our people, And red for blood. That’s what our flag symbolizes. Let God protect our nation.
