Uncrossing Stars
Small little sound, you've shown them all, And now you just do it with ease. Like seismic waves, you've widely traveled Around the globe, you've crushed white bone Beneath black dirt. Rocks. Foundations, Those things that bump against the dark, Dead, fast asleep, you've missed their solace, As any . . .. gone away too long. Their distant stares put seas between us, Wet, warm tears, you've turned mine up Like swigs of wine in champagne flutes, An honest try to uncross our stars. From being an onboard radar, Locking in on all the wrong marks.
