Unchosen, Unbroken.
I will not let you love me only when it suits you, only when the night feels lonely, or when you need someone to hold for a while. I refuse to let you stand at the door of my heart, never stepping inside, never staying long enough to truly be mine. I refuse to spend my nights wondering what it would feel like to have all of you, when deep down, I know you were never mine to keep. You gave me hope, only to take it away. And for a time, I believed that being second choice was better than not being chosen at all. But I am done. Done waiting, done hoping, done being just "good enough" for sometimes. I will not let you love me only when it’s easy for you. I once dreamed of a happy ending for us, but now I see the real happy ending is choosing myself.
