Unbreakable
They tighten chains, they draw their lines, They build their walls, they raise their signs. But walls can’t hold what mountains bear, And chains are dust against our glare. Our rights, our voices, carved in stone, Not theirs to take, nor theirs to own. We are the storm, the thunder’s might, The dawn that breaks the longest night. They try to shrink what we can be, To cage our will, to blind and bind. But fires rise in silent hearts, And embers flare where shadows start. We’ve fought before, and fight we will, With minds unbowed, with iron will. They cannot break what’s forged in flame, They cannot hush a voice with name. We are the roots, the soil, the seed, The lifeblood pulsing fierce and free. A thousand battles left to fight, But know this truth: we are the light. (if you couldn't tell, this is about the things going on with trump, about women's rights.)
