Two Paths, One World
In gilded halls, a child awakes, Where marble floors and wealth it makes, A legacy of comfort, name, and fame, A future paved with silver's frame. Meanwhile, in shadows, another stirs, Where hunger gnaws and hope concurs, No golden spoon, no name to claim, Just grit and will to shatter the frame. The privileged child need not prove, Their path is paved, their future a groove, A phone call smooths the troubled sea, A handshake rights the wrongs to be. But the child of want learns to be bold, To face the storm, to never grow cold, To rise from ashes, to hold the scar, To find strength in the struggle, near and far. Let not the wealthy mock the climb, Of those who walk the rugged rhyme, And let not the poor chase fleeting dreams, That steal their peace and shorten their themes. For when fate calls, and troubles rise, The wealthy find solace in lawyers' guise, While the poor child faces harsher might, Trapped in a world that's not always bright. Life's not a level playing field, But wisdom helps the poor to yield, A diamond in the rough, a shining light, That guides them through the darkest night. May every soul, regardless of station, Find blessings in their own creation.
