Two moons
Her emerald eyes caught lies like nets, Dragging up splinters of "forever" drowned- His storm-gray silence built the debt. Winter came early, breath by breath, A wall of frost where laughs once danced- Each word now carved a colder depth. He knelt among dead hydrangeas, Thorns curling where her roses bled- Night split the moon into liars. She dreamt of drowning in his wake, Salt crusting vows they'd etched in sand- Twin moons charted each heart's mistake. Thread by thread, their tapestry tore, Midnight unspun what daylight sewed- Shadows warred on the bedroom floor. Dawn blushed through cracks in their eclipse, Mist curled like fingers seeking skin- A bridge too frail for trembling lips. He spoke first: "I let fear rewrite us." She breathed: "I weaponized the doubt." Stars blinked above their fractured atlas. Hands hovered, close as parallel lines, Mapping scars beneath the spider-silk- Two moons whispered: Begin again. They chose to wield the dawn's sharp blade, Slicing through night's thorned embrace- Where two moons wept, one glow remained.
