Two Faced Love
I love myself, So I carve sorrow into my veins, Letting the red flow where silence reigns. I love myself, So I deny hunger’s call, Claiming control while I crumble and fall. I love myself, So I welcome pain like a familiar refrain, Tearing apart the image I can't sustain. I love myself, So I bury truth beneath hollow smiles, Pushing away those who see through the guile. I love myself, So I build walls brick by brick, Hoping they'll hold when the cracks grow thick. But deep inside, I know it’s not true— This love I speak is tearing me in two.
