Twisted (part 2)
In the darkness of the night I roam With shadows as my only home My heart is heavy, my soul is tired My life is bleak, my hope expired I wander through the empty streets Where silence reigns and nothing speaks The air is thick with a sense of dread As I walk among the living dead But as I turn a corner sharp I hear a sound, a beating heart A figure in the distance stands With outstretched arms and open hands As I approach, the figure speaks And in its voice, a kindness leaks "Come with me, and do not fear For I am here to wipe your tears" And so I follow, without a word My soul with hope and joy now stirred But as we near the end of the road My heart sinks, my spirit slows For the figure that I thought was kind Had led me to a place unkind And as I turn to run away I hear the figure laugh and say "Welcome to your final place For I am death, and now you face The end of all your days and nights No more pain, no more frights" And so I close my eyes and wait For death to claim my final fate But as I take my final breath I wake up, it was just a test.
