Twilight's hush
a vision fitted, beckoning me to stay, with wings of iridescent sheen lured me in, with beauty, and a siren's whispered keen I welcomed it, with open heart and garden gate, let it settle, but as I gazed in its eyes of gold, the glimmer of a truth beyong the facade, a masquerade of wonder the butterfly, left me with ashes where once my heart was fair yet, still it flutters, in my garden and as I watch, acceptance starts to seep a willingness to love, in all its sleep though its not the creature, I was beguiled to meet I'll learn to love its awkwardness, flass, impermanence too, and find a beauty, born of truth, in all its imperfections I find a strange reprieve, a chance to heal, mend, to learn, and believe, even in deception's wake, a new truth can unfold a butterfly, transformed with wings of authenticity, to hold.
