Twilight Sun
Twilight Sun by Jack A.S. Dunce The fair moon was on her ascent to her throne. Her glow, sublime and subtle, led the way. One more sojourn to put a capstone to an unforgiving land so faraway. The journey might be at an end. The beacons flicker on the near horizon. The morning star high in the sky portends the coming of the Twilight Sun It's rays, though mellow and subdued, fight off the shadows that lurk both inside and out. Time keepers trumpet the ensuing face-off, as these tinged rays trump the dark in a rout. As the world stirs, those caught in the night rest, assured by the light's triumph that they're done. They've gave their all; just hope for the best, as sandman rides them to the Twilight Sun. ©️pgmr 08/31/2024 dedicated to Akira and jabez
