Trying By: Marivil Boniza I think I’ve healed Just kidding, I can’t breathe I realized that healing isn’t linear And it needs time to process this turmoil "I tried" and I think it is a good reason to forgive, and the secrecy of hiding what you've felt inside is a good reason to forgive yourself I’m proud of you for the thing that no one has seen I’m proud of you for getting up when you felt like it took everything to move I’m proud of you for crying and letting your emotions feel valid When you felt like you couldn’t hold it together anymore Trying and hoping are two different words yet somehow it becomes synonyms Sometimes there is nothing poetic About the way it hurts, sometimes it just hurts and that’s okay
