You yearned to be the perfect daughter, a beacon of light, To bring joy and solace, banishing the night, But every step you took, it seemed, met disapproval's glare, Leaving you tangled in a web of relentless despair. Each decision, every choice, held under scrutiny's eye, You sought their validation, a love you couldn't deny, But no matter how you tried, perfection slipped away, And all your dreams crumbled into shades of gray. Blame became the shroud that wrapped around your soul, Every stumble, every fall, etched onto your heart's scroll, It seemed as though the world conspired against your name, To bear the weight of failures, casting you in shame. The echoes of their disappointment pierced your fragile core, Every misstep magnified, a haunting encore, Your spirit, once vibrant, began to wilt and fade, Under the heavy burden, as darkness gently weighed.
