Truth
We Run Away from the Truth In the river's flow, where shadows play, Two entities converged, in a fateful way. The Lie and Truth, in waters merged, Both stripped bare, their essence purged. The Lie, once naked, swiftly emerged, Donning Truth's garments, its disguise forged. With feigned confidence, it strode with pride, Deception's cloak, its true self to hide. The world, deceived, with open arms did greet, The Lie, now clothed, in Truth's revered seat. Meanwhile, Truth, forsaken, bare, and cold, Concealed itself, its voice, a whispered tale untold. We flee from Truth's piercing light, Embracing lies, in endless night. Comfortable in darkness, we stray, And call good evil, evil good, in disarray. Yet, in the depths of our souls, a spark remains, A longing for truth, a yearning for freedom's refrains. For Truth, though hidden, still whispers low, "Your bondage will cease, when you let me show." The Truth shall set us free, a promise so grand, From chains of deceit, we'll break the band. Let's shed the lies, and don the truth's pure light, And in its radiance, find our way, our sight.
