Trust was never an option.
The first summer where you said those words, The rustling leaves loud as the chirping birds, My hear beating as fast as the cheetah running, I tell you this poem to show you how much I've been waiting. "I love you" the word that shaked my world silently, For a while I kept thinking was it real? for once i felt those years of work paid off, finally! As we had our journey, something went wrong, our minds collided, trust faded, You had something in you're mind 'lust' was it? now youre just a page that i hated. As days passed by, memories flooded my mind, I had answers to find, Was it true? Was it you? Please tell me it wasn't true.. I left, but you're still holding, But you can't change the depression I've been wielding. This is why i don't believe soulmates if my face was all you needed... In the end you had me at my lowest, I left you at my highest, "move on" were the word i pleaded. • S. M. J.
