truly stone
My heart has probably turned to stone, truly. Now, when someone speaks to me with love, I find myself laughing, feeling a sense of pity. I wonder what they were thinking when they spoke to me. Did they not see that I have a heart? It beats, yes, but only to stay alive, not to truly live. To live, one needs feelings, but perhaps those died long ago. That's why I laugh and pity people, instead of feeling love. Love is a feeling that gives life to others, but alas, it no longer exists within me.
