True Liberty in Christ
Freedom is an illusion, a shimmering mirage that lures souls into the abyss. They say it’s the shattering of iron chains, the crumbling of stone walls— the power to choose, to chase desires with willful heart. True freedom hums like a cathedral’s hymn, Christianity’s heartbeat, the deep well of true liberty. Yet we shout for freedom, dawn till dusk chasing a phantom crafted by society’s hands. In this pursuit, we find fleeting joy in the world’s trinkets— empty, confused, still wanting. We wander into shadows, not seeing that in our chase for freedom, we become prisoners anew. Enslaved to what we sought, bound by what we craved, we spiral into darkness, loops of struggle, threads of pain. Adamantium chains tighten in the throes of addiction. We cry to be free— how? I’ve asked this question through restless nights. Paul whispers through time: “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free.” Enslavement to Him is liberation— a path aligned with our created purpose. His power breaks sin’s hold, frees us to live righteously. Not to do whatever we want, but what we ought, guided by the Holy Spirit’s breath. Choose Jesus. Always.
