TRIED TO 💕

I tried to love with all my might But something just didn't feel right I gave my heart, I gave my soul But still, I couldn't reach my goal I tried to love with all my being But deep down, I knew I was fleeing From a love that wasn't true From a love that left me feeling blue I tried to love with all my strength But it felt like I was going to great lengths To force a feeling that wasn't there To pretend like I didn't care I tried to love, but in the end I realized I couldn't just pretend Love is something that can't be forced It's something that must run its course So I let go of the love I tried And in its place, I found my pride I learned that love can't be coerced It must be felt, it must be nursed And though I tried to love in vain I know that true love will remain Patiently waiting for me to see That love will come when it's meant to be.
