Trapped in a Cage
Steel bars rise, cold and tight, Holding back my voice, my light. The world moves free, the skies stretch wide, Yet here I stand, locked inside. I reach, I push, but walls remain, A silent echo calls my name. Dreams fly past like birds so high, While I just watch, too scared to try. But cages break, and doors swing wide, Fear can’t chain what burns inside. One day soon, I’ll find my key— And taste the air of being free.
